Spring Creek lies in the most southeastern section of Floyd County, south of Hwy. 411 and east of Hwy. 101. It provides easy access to Rome, Rockmart, or Bartow County. Spring Creek gets its name from the actual spring that bubbles up off Chulio Rd. and feeds into the Etowah via a small creek. The area is home to the Rome International Speedway, a half mile dirt track that attracts races fans from all over the southeast. The area is largely still farms but has seen a good bit of new construction development in the past 20 years as farmland is sold off for smaller lots. The original Spring Creek schoolhouse still remains in its original location and is now privately owned by The Carroll Family. The old store at the corner of Biddy Rd. and Chulio Rd is now a private residence but the rock architecture is still present. Spring Creek is a close-knit community with several families born and raised there still residing.
