Selling a Grow House and a Two-in-One Home
I’ve seen a lot of strange things in my 19 years of real estate but I have two that stick out in my mind as being pretty high up on the crazy list:
Number one is the time I sold a grow house. This was in 2013 an underground house in Stone Mountain and I will never forget the address-It was 4125 Rue St. Michel. It had this gutter system inside to collect rainwater from the roof and ductwork running all through it and you could see the outline of where all the plants had been sitting throughout the house. You could literally walk out on the roof and there was grass growing. You can look it up now and the house looks nothing like it did back then but it has quite the history behind it.
The second one that comes to mind is the time I sold a house that had another house attached to it. This was a 1960s ranch where the owner had started building a new construction home on the same lot and then attached it to the old house by an awning but without a walkway or doors. The main house which was smaller than the addition had all these crazy wallpaper colors throughout. I was never really clear on why the owner did that but I have yet to see anything else quite like that.
